The temazcal is the ancestral Mexican sweat-lodge ritual: a womb of warmth where the body lets go, the mind grows quiet, and the spirit is renewed. At Mezcal we honor it for what it is — a profound experience guided with respect, medicinal herbs, and the power of fire-heated volcanic stones.
The "abuelitas" — grandmother volcanic stones — are heated over open fire and carried into the temazcal, where they release their steam with water and herbal infusions. Amid chants, breathwork, and the aromas of copal, rosemary, and sage, the heat embraces and cleanses. A guide leads the ceremony through each of its stages.
More than a sweat, the temazcal is about letting go. Its benefits are felt in the body and in the calm that lingers afterward: a deep detox and a reset to begin again.
